Aside:  Avengers: Infinity Wars  now Marvel who perpetually steals the Resurrection for their Antichrist heroes has also stolen the Rapture in a way.  It gives away the ending but...so what?  Seems Thanos, the ultimate evil,  has the Infinity Stones in a gauntlet (the Infinity Stones that were created when the universe began, apparently by the "force of Creation")  and they gave Thanos the power to do anything he wants. He  can merely wish that half the universe's population disappear which they do, including some of the heroes.  Setting up the sequel but we have Dr. Strange's assurance that it's "the only way to win."  Maybe the Soul Stone will show Thanos the universe's pain.

But we actually have God's story from essentially, Satan's point of view. For Thanos to control the Soul Stone, he must sacrifice what he loves and so he casts his daughter Gamora to her doom.  Her soul now occupies the Stone and talks to  him in his introspection as he accomplishes his goal of eliminating half the universe's population and therefore increasing the chance of the survival of all because the universe has "limited resources." The population breaks into little chips and floats away.   Does anyone notice that God sacrificed his Son for the love of humanity to bring them back to Him?  Not only is the Rapture stolen but also the sacrificial death of the child of God.

Now how does this relate to End Times?   Because humanity has been buying these variations of God's story, of HIS-story for all history.  "You can be like God."  Satan keeps shooting to duplicate God in reality here on Earth,  His stealing of the "deed" to the world in Eden set him up to declare his own Godhood.  And New Age  and gnostic believers have been doing their best to reduce God to a Thanos level, a God being who creates a faulty universe not a perfect one and then struggles to understand the solution because he is not a perfect God.

So we have the oft repeated lie.  We have always fallen for it, will until there is no more liar ot tell it, until we are all completely imbued with the Spirit and waling in it completely.

Odd, isn't it?  The opposite of the truth remains utterly compelling and yet defines the truth it keeps in shadow.  God's loaded dice always roll back to the numbers of  Him and His Son. 



Now back to the judgements.  They are listed and detailed in the bible here and I will expand on them next time.  Grandchild birthday and cat sitting duties have cut me short on  time this week.

There are a total of twenty-one special judgments that fall upon earth during the Tribulation period. They are in three series of sevens described as seals, trumpets, and vials (or bowls):

The Seal Judgments:
This is the beginning of the program of God to pour out judgments upon the earth. I encourage you to open your Bible and read each judgment carefully to understand the finality of God's pronouncements. These include:

The world's greatest dictator (Revelation 6:1-2)

Re 6:1 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, "Come and see."
 2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

The world's greatest war (Revelation 6:3-4)

Re 6:3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come and see."
 4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.

The world's greatest persecution (Revelation 6:9-11)

 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"
 11 Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.

9. The three last seals relate to the invisible, as the first four to the visible world; the fifth, to the martyrs who have died as believers; the sixth, to those who have died, or who shall be found at Christ's coming, unbelievers, namely, "the kings ... great men ...  bondman ... freeman"; the seventh, to the silence in heaven. The scene changes from earth to heaven; so that interpretations which make these three last consecutive to the first four seals, are very doubtful.


The world's greatest ecological disaster (Revelation 6:12-17)

Re 6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.
 13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
 14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
 15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!

The world's greatest hour of fear ... actually the lull before the storm (Revelation 8:1)

(Notice these define the framework of the details to come.    These seem to run concurrent withe the following judgements, growing more powerful over the 3 1/2 years til the end. It isn't like there's a war, then a diseases, then a famine.  It's more like, war/disease/famine running at the same time, mixed together in different locales.

(We do need to know that right now a volcano is erupting in Hawaii, sulphur dioxide gases are a threat to a nearby urban development.  Earthquakes there shake the Big Island.  Last week, Michigan had an earthquake. Albeit a very quiet quake but in Michigan? We have some  of those shape-of-things-to-come moments.  Imagine this going on with reports of major battles in the Middle East and an ebola outbreak in Europe.)

The Trumpet Judgements:

The trumpets of heaven sound an alarm throughout the world announcing the public judgments of God. Each blast ushers in an added judgment.

The world's greatest fire (Revelation 8:7)

Re 8:7 The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

The world's greatest oceanic disturbance (Revelation 8:8-9)

Re 8:8 Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood.
 9 And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

The world's greatest pollution of water (Revelation 8:10-11)

 11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.

Re 8:12 Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.
 13 And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!"

The world's greatest pestilential invasion (Revelation 9:1-6)

 2 And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit.
 3 Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
 4 They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
 5 And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.

The world's greatest storm (Revelation 11:15-19)

 17 saying: "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.
 18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth."
 19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.

The Vial Judgments:

The world's greatest epidemic (Revelation 16:2)

Re 16:1 And a great voice out of the house of God came to my ears, saying to the seven angels, Go, and let that which is in the seven vessels of the wrath of God come down on the earth.
 2 And the first went, and let what was in his vessel come down on the earth; and it became an evil poisoning wound on the men who had the mark of the beast, and who gave worship to his image.

The world's greatest scorching (Revelation 16:8-9)

 9 And men were burned with great heat. And they blasphemed the name of God, He having authority over these plagues. And they did not repent in order to give Him glory.

The world's greatest earthquake (Revelation 16:18)

Re 16:18 And voices and thunders and lightnings occurred. And there was a great earthquake, such as has not been since men were on the earth, so mighty and so great an earthquake.

These twenty-one judgments unleash unbelievable war, ecological disasters, and atomic catastrophe on our earth. Note this judgment in particular; Revelation 14:20 reads, "And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs." According to today's calculations, that is a river of blood two hundred miles long-the exact length of the nation of Israel. Think of it! An entire nation saturated and soaked with blood.



                                                                                                                                                                   

But the message of hope for the Church remains beyond all the blood and death.  From the above source:




 "As believers, you and I can be grateful that the Rapture is coming, because it means we-the Church of Jesus Christ-will not be present to endure this terrible suffering. The Bride will be at home, at the marriage ceremony, and afterward return for the supper" (Revelation 19:7-16).

 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white. For the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.

 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, Stop! I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
 11 And I saw Heaven opened. And behold, a white horse! And He sitting on him was called Faithful and True. And in righteousness He judges and makes war.
 12 And His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head many crowns. And He had a name written, one that no one knew except Himself.
 13 And He had been clothed in a garment dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
 14 And the armies in Heaven followed Him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
 15 And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, so that with it He should strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the wine of the anger and of the wrath of Almighty God.
 16 And He has on His garment, and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

But certain details in those judgements lead us to a certainty of the Pre-mil notions that the Millenium is REAL and is due soon.  Keep our destiny in mind til next time.
